Needing a jolt of holiday cheer in the lull between Christmas and the New Year?
Home for the Holidays is a benefit concert for Saskatoon Opera – we’re gathering together some of the city’s best voices from near and far for a night of beautiful music.
Saskatoon is home to more than its fair share of incredibly talented opera singers – we’re fortunate that during the holidays we can bring together these singers in a single night to celebrate and make merry. Many of our fine young singers who are home for the holidays are getting involved in the evening and are excited to lend their voice to a great cause.
Part of Saskatoon Opera’s mandate is to support our local emerging artists. This fundraiser gives us a great chance to showcase some of the great talent that we have from this fine city! Many of these singers had their first onstage experience singing in the chorus of a Saskatoon Opera production – this concert nurtures both the work of Saskatoon Opera and the relationships with these great talents.
Home for the Holidays will feature many of Saskatoon’s brightest young performers such as: Jayden Burrows, Brenden Friesen, Oli Guselle, Kateryna Khartova, Spencer McKnight, Kelsey Ronn, Kennedy Siba, and Anastasia Winterhalt with collaborative pianists: Kathleen Lohrenz Gable, Sofia Mycyk, and Mark Turner
